Lyn Liao and Jim Butler married in Chappaqua, New York at Crabtree’s Kittle House. We’re no stranger to the Kittle House here at Dave Cross Photography, and had a blast yet again while spending the day with Lyn and Jim.
Lyn took an unconventional route with her wedding preparations: in addition to being a trained dancer and fitness expert, she’s also a seamstress. Yes… she built the dresses for her bridal party (and they look fantastic).
Since the weather was looking grim, we accompanied the bridal party to a local train station for a few portraits near shelter. The result was some fun moments we couldn’t have planned if we wanted.
The ceremony was initially set for outside, but Mother Nature did not play along. Luckily, the Kittle House had set up a rain-proof tent and the celebration could go on without a hitch.
During the reception, Moonlight Silhouettes from Stolen Moments provided a great background of songs for the very eager dancers amongst the guests. Flowers were by Carole and the cake was by Make My Cake.
Lyn and two friends even took some time to dance a special Irish jig for her new Irish family.
Check out the video from the day (set to their first dance, “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne – purchase the track on iTunes).

Dave Cross, you are absolutely amazing! You have the best eye and I can’t tell you how many compliments you have received from our friends and family who have seen our wedding pictures. You also made both Jim and I feel so comfortable that our pictures came out so natural and not awkward at all. After having worked with you for both my headshots, and now our wedding, I would highly recommend you to anyone. Please feel free to use me as a reference for any potential clients – I have so much positive things to say about you that it won’t all fit here :) Anyone can get normal, ordinary wedding photos, but if you want absolutely gorgeous, unique and amazing pictures, then Dave Cross, you are the only photographer I would recommend. THANK YOU!

Hey Nick! I’m sorry I forgot to mention you in the above comment. You were so great too, and you and Dave work so well together. What a great team! We’ve already given your name to 3 different friends that are getting married next year. Thanks again for everything. We’re having trouble picking out pictures for our album because we love so many of them!
